Footnote: Unterscharfuhrer Friedrich Wilhelm Meyer was born on January15, 1918 in Obermegersheim to a protestant family. Son of Karl Meyer, he worked as a farmer and was unmarried. He stood at 173 centimetres tall, was thin and beardless. He joined the SS on April 12th, 1939 and was posted to 12th SS Artillery. He was promoted
