Description
The battle was fought for control of the strategic Flemish town of Ypres in western Belgium in the spring of 1915
Accompanied by a copy of the medal roll for the Canada General Service Medal
The distance to be traversed between these two points was about 1000 yards over open country which was under a terrific artillery fire
